The Andalusian Mountains and its pretty villages are on your doorstep, as well as the bustling resort of Malaga, Picasso’s birthplace. January is the coldest month in Torremolinos with temperatures between 11°C to 15°C, while February is warmer by a couple of degrees. June, July and August are the hottest months at 28°C but expect to mingle with the tourist crowds during these peak months. To get to Torremolinos you can fly into Malaga Airport, approximately 8km and a 10-minute-drive away from the resort, costing roughly €20 by taxi.
