Holidays to Kemer

Situated on the southern coast of Turkey, near Antalya, is the picturesque seaside resort of Kemer. Much of its natural beauty comes from the lush pine forests of Beydaglari National Park, the majestic Tahtali mountains and the extensive Greco-Roman ruins of Phaselis, Olympos and Idyros.

This cosmopolitan coastal town effortlessly blends beaches, culture and entertainment, making it an all-round holiday destination for families, friends and couples alike. Divide your time on Kemer holidays between the resort's Blue Flag and shingle stretches of sand, which sit either side of a modern marina offering classy waterfront restaurants and boutiques. If you like to bag a bargain, head to the resort's market stalls open on Mondays and Tuesdays where you can pick up traditional textiles, silverware and handmade souvenirs. If you like nature, the national park is the perfect place to go hiking, camping or trekking and a great way to explore this part of Turkey. Or give your legs a rest and climb to the top of Tahtali mountains via a cable car instead, while enjoying panoramic views of the surroundings below.

Less than an hour away is Antalya City, hiding quaint cobbled alleyways lined traditional Turkish stalls and the gorgeous cascading Duden Waterfall within its enchanting Roman walls. The cuisine in Turkey is like no other, with spices, flavours and colours combining to make some of the most mouthwatering dishes – whether you eat on the main street, in the upscale marina or in a traditional tent, the marinated fish, soulful flatbreads and freshly baked baklava is not to be missed.

A Guide to Kemer Holidays

Paddle at Moonlight Beach

Paddle at Moonlight Beach

There are two beaches to lay your towel down on in Kemer. Moonlight Bay is a Blue Flag sand and shingle stretch with plenty of watersports to try, while the other beach is more pebbly. Once you've soaked up the sun, browse the shops along the pretty promenade or head to the modern marina (in the middle of the two) for a sophisticated snack!

Tour The Turquoise Coast

There are plenty of boat trips that operate out of Kemer’s lively marina, with many taking you along the stunningly beautiful Turquoise Coast. Soak up the picturesque coastline as you breeze along the sea and you’ll realise just how unspoilt the Lycian coast is - so make sure you take your camera with you!

Chute and Slide at Aqua World

A waterpark day out is a great way to keep the kids happy, and Aqua World is right in resort. With plenty of slides to whizz down, as well as swimming pools and water playgrounds for the little ones, Aqua World offers a superb family-friendly option if the kids are getting itchy feet in all the heat!

The Ancient City of Phaselis

Whether you join an organised trip, or opt to go it alone with the help of the local bus, visiting Phaselis is a must if you’re a bit of a history buff. Here, you will find an incredibly well preserved Roman amphitheatre and Roman baths. Stroll through the ruins before enjoying a refreshing dip at one of the nearby coves.
