Why Should I Win?
I’m Nichola from Globalmouse Travels and would love to be considered for the Best Travel with Kids Blogger award.
I show how you can get off the beaten track as a family and on my blog I share our family adventures and experiences, such as taking a night train through Morocco, enjoying a cookery class in Saigon and travelling to the top of the UK to discover the wildlife of the Shetland Islands. I share ways to make travelling with kids fun and, along with my inspiring guides, I also publish recipes once a week to give a taste of our travels in addition to itineraries so people can easily follow in our footsteps. This year I have co-created a resource of virtual travel experiences to keep families inspired during lockdown, as well as continuing to provide safe and fun suggestions of ways to keep getting out into the world.
Travel is a passion for our family and through Globalmouse Travels I show others that they shouldn’t stop travelling when children arrive - in fact this is the time when exploring the world with all of its wonderful complexities and beautiful differences is more important than ever.
My Proudest Achievements Over the Past Year
Over the past twelve months some of my proudest moments have included working with the Tunisian Tourist Board on a campaign to raise awareness about the cultural highlights of the country beyond the beach, which was so successful that it turned into a multi-layered campaign with an e-book and video.
Another real highlight of the year included launching a new YouTube channel called Globalmouse Kids, presented by the Globalmouse children to give a unique twist on travel insights from a child’s perspective. These videos have included what it is like to ski in Norway, being one of the first inside the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel in Denmark and the top things to do in Philadelphia. Possibly unsurprisingly one of the most popular is their visit to the Haribo sweet factory in Germany!
These achievements, along with a partnership with Hyundai, Jack Wolfskin and Cotswold Outdoor, have meant that the past twelve months have been filled with many adventures and wonderful travels.

Why Should We Win?
From New York to Newquay, Bergen to Brighton, Glasgow to Gran Canaria, we have made sure to expose our daughter to travel since she was born in 2018. We love the UK (even more since COVID) and spend our weekends exploring areas local to us and on mini breaks to visit new destinations. However, every year we try to make 4 foreign trips as we want to make sure our daughter grows up knowing more about the world around us. On the blog and our Instagram we have shared tips about how to deal with long-haul flights with a baby and posts on what we have experienced on the trips we have made. We often get asked for recommendations and find that our online community has shared great ideas for things to see or do wherever we go!
Our Proudest Achievements Over the Past Year
Our biggest travel achievement was that we were invited to work with Visit Baltimore City on a family friendly travel guide on our blog. While visiting family in the USA we asked for recommendations on where to visit and Visit Baltimore got in touch. We were gifted a VIP Pass to the city's top attractions in order to create the guide. We worked with the team to identify the best attractions to visit with our young daughter - our family highlights being the aquarium and train museum as well as the harbour side area. We also went off the beaten track to explore the local graffiti artist work (our daughter LOVED the colours) and to Hampden, which has an alternative and LGBT culture and so much going on. Visit Baltimore were really happy with our contribution and shared our content on their social media.
We also relaunched our blog making it easier to find our travel posts and this has helped our viewer numbers and online community grow.

Why Should I Win?
I’ve been writing my family blog for over ten years now, and have travelled to four continents and had all kinds of adventures with my kids as they’ve gone from young children to teens and now adults, which is hard to think about! (Do they ever really stop being your kids though? Or asking for the WiFi details as soon as they get anywhere new?) We’ve swum with dolphins in America, skied in the French Alps and crawled through the tunnels in Vietnam, all whilst dealing with the demands of family life.
My Proudest Achievement Over the Past Year
My proudest achievement of the last year was becoming a grandparent! I managed to squeeze in one holiday with my new grandson Joey before lockdown, which he thoroughly enjoyed, and I’m excited about exploring more of the country (and hopefully the world!) with him as he grows up. I’m so looking forward to being able to travel with a young child who sees everything in a new and exciting way.

Why Should I Win?
My name is Angie, and I’m proud mum to one-year-old Oscar. I hope my blog will inspire people to travel in luxury and style with a baby! I review the very best hotels that are not only baby- and child-friendly but they are parent-friendly too. This means it’s not all about the kids club and family pool but also the best cocktails at the bar and serious spa time too!
I also aim to discover the finest restaurants that cater for little ones as well as parents!
My blog showcases my adventures and recommendations in my home city of London and hot family-friendly destinations around the world. All my photography is my own and taken at a high level to showcase the beauty of the hotels, destinations and restaurants that I write about. My reviews aren’t just the simple facts, and I like to inject plenty of personality and fun into my recommendations so they feel like they’re coming from a trusted friend.
My Proudest Achievement Over the Past Year
I was named London Blogger of the Year in the London Lifestyle Awards.
