The prestigious British Travel Awards are known the world over as the ‘Oscars of Travel and Tourism’. This year, the celebrated awards programme is expanding its range of categories with a brand-new Blogger Award – and we, at Teletext Holidays, are its proud sponsors!

THE BTA’s BEST TRAVEL BLOGGER AWARD

Building a successful travel blog requires skill, dedication, perseverance, budget, business skills and… a lot of travel. The British Travel Awards’ Blogger Award was designed to celebrate the top UK travel bloggers in the industry, whether well-known or upcoming, professional or part-time. In order to help with the nominations, over a hundred bloggers in ten different categories have sent in their compelling pitches which are being presented to a panel of experts.

MEET THE EXPERT PANEL

In order to help select the final nominees, we’ve assembled a panel with expertise in various aspects of travel blogging. So far, our panel members include Helena Cartwright (Lifestyle Travel Writer, Women's Weeklies and Woman & Home), Professor Sheela Agarwal (Head of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality at the University of Plymouth), Toby Whitehouse (Director at Gaydio), Sarah Newton (Marketing Director here at Teletext Holidays), Pamela Chieff (luxury lifestyle and travel blogger at Travel Like a Chieff) and Andrew and Emily (bloggers and photographers at Along Dusty Roads). As the proud winners of last year's UK Blog Awards, the latter three know what it takes to rise to the top as travel bloggers!

The final nominees for the British Travel Awards’ Blogger Award will be announced on 14 June 2019. Those who weren’t nominated will still be presented with a bespoke badge informing their followers that they’ve made it into Teletext Holidays’ special selection of best bloggers within their category.
