Thailand, what can I say?
It is one of those destinations that when you start speaking about it the person next to you wishes they were there. The best time to travel to Thailand is between November and early April with temperatures often reaching a tan-tastic 36 degrees - great if you are looking for a
winter sun holiday!
Where there is sun, there are course beaches to explore. So today we are going to look at what I think are the top 5 beaches in
Thailand, each of which we highly recommend you visit on your next trip to ‘The Land of Smiles’.
Maenam Beach, Koh Samui
This peaceful stretch of beach is one of the most pristine on the Island and believe it or no, not touristy at all. Perfect for couples and families alike with its crystal-clear sands and blue waters.
Sunset Beach, Ko Lipe
Also known as the Hat Pramong, this is a beach where, yes you guessed it, you can watch the sun rise and set. Of the three major beaches in Ko Lipe, Sunset Beach is one of the quietest - until sunset that is. It doesn’t have perfect white sand like some other contenders and isn’t the cleanest, but without doubt one of the most amazing for the views.
Phra Nanh Cave Beach, Krabi
Cave Beach is just beautiful, surrounded by white sand and clear sea. Unfortunately, it is only possible to get to the beach by boat, but it is well worth the trip. The town runs boats several times a day from
Krabi to the beach so don’t worry about missing out.
Long Beach, Koh Lanta
Coming in at around 4km in length, this beach has the most amazing white sand. Much of the beach is also undeveloped, so if a serene spot is what you’re after, a little searching will be worh it once you see what you are greeted with.
Kata Noi Beach, Phuket
Although this is one of the smaller beaches found in
Phuket, it is an amazing spot for snorkelling and gazing at colourful fish or even a sea snake if you are lucky – or unlucky! If you want to avoid the touristy hustle and bustle, then this beach is the for you. The sea of Kata Noi Beach is so inviting and clear, providing peaceful swimming during the peak season months.
There are so many more amazing beaches and islands to visit when travelling to Thailand but I believe these are the top 5 to visit on your next trip. Remember stay safe and follow the Covid guidelines when travelling. Keep an eye on the FCO website for the latest advice on entry requirement
