With national parks ideal for safaris and tea plantations which allow you to taste some of the best tea on the planet, Sri Lanka is a holiday destination with a twist all right! With over 1,300km of coastline boasting palm tree lined beaches, getting a tan whilst experiencing a traditional beach holiday is definitely doable. Temperatures rarely drop much below 30 degrees even in winter, but make sure you avoid monsoon seasons which hit different places on the island at different times. If you’re heading to the west or south coasts then you’re best going between December and March. If you’re intending to make your way to the east coast or the north you’ll find the best time of year to visit is from April to September.
